Edition 2021: ‘Dutch Harvest’ led by Daniel Reuss

“The Netherlands are, in every single way, a country of choirs and choral singing. Not just since the Reformation in the 16th century, but already – as a part of the Low Countries – with Flanders and Northern France since the late 14th century. And up to this day, Dutch composers have guarded our reputation as a choral country,” writes Leo Samama in the programme of the 2021 edition ‘Dutch Harvest’, led by Daniel Reuss.

A highlight were the Vespers by Einojuhani Rautavaara: modern music with its roots in the old liturgy of the Orthodox Church. Recordings can be listened to below and more information can be found here.
