Edition 2026 ‘Magyar Etüdök’, conducted by Zoltán Pad

Twenty young singers together with four Hungarian choral professionals

In 2026, we present “Magyar Etüdök,” under the direction of Zoltán Pad, conductor of the Hungarian Radio Choir. This edition explores the richness of Hungarian choral music with works by grandmasters such as Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály, György Ligeti, and László Lajtha. With the title “Magyar Etüdök” (Hungarian Etudes), after the eponymous work by Ligeti, the program explores the musical heritage that has made Hungary a cradle of choral music and music education.

Notice regarding the continuation of Meesters&Gezellen

This summer, Geert Berghs, founder and driving force behind Meesters en Gezellen, passed away unexpectedly. This has deeply affected us all. For 15 years, Geert was the great inspirer, organizer, and artistic leader of this project, and we will miss him dearly.

The board of the Tettix foundation has decided to continue this wonderful project. The artistic leadership will, at least for the coming year, be in the hands of Daniel Reuss, conductor of Cappella Amsterdam; Jos Vermunt, until recently—like Geert—a teacher in the choral conducting department at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam; and Cyrille Nanchen, choral conductor in Switzerland and former student of Geert. This trio will begin by evaluating the audio file auditions of the Gezellen.
